and Skills and Bob Ainsworth, Minister for
the Armed Forces sign agreement.

Our inspections place the interests and experiences of recruits and trainees at their heart and will provide insights for the armed services to enable their training and support to consistently be of the highest quality. Melanie Hunt

The collaboration should help ensure recruits and trainees experience a high quality of training, welfare and care. Inspections will focus on the recruitment and selection of potential recruits, newly recruited entrants and those in training. These are phase one trainees aged between 16 and 24, and phase two trainees who have moved on to study a particular trade such as engineering or catering.

Inspectors will spend one to five days at each establishment. This may include weekends, staying overnight and visits during silent hours. Information will then be fed back to the commanding officer and nominated link officer following observations, interviews and reviews.
